Equipment

  • loaf pan
  • fork
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons of sweetness sugar, brown sugar, real maple syrup, or honey
  • 1 12 oz beer
  • 6 tablespoons salted butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375° F
  • Add all ingredients except the melted butter to a 9”X5” loaf pan. Make sure to add the beer slowly so it doesn't foam over the edge of the pan.
  • Using a fork or a small whisk gently mix the ingredients together until just combined. The dough will be thick and lumpy. It's ok if there's still some dry flour on the sides of the pan.
  • Evenly distribute in the pan using the back of a for and pour the melted butter over the top, making sure to concentrate a little extra around the edges of the pan to keep the bread from sticking.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
  • Allow bread to cool for 10-15 minutes, run a knife around the edge of the loaf pan and flip loaf out onto a plate. Slice thick and enjoy!

Notes

To ensure easy removal from the pan, do not under bake.  Use a toothpick inserted into the center to check for doneness.  The toothpick should come out clean and dry.
