Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Hands down, no question, favorite holiday. With Thanksgiving only 21 days away I wanted to make sure some of my favorite Honey, I’m Hungry recipes had the opportunity make it to more than just our family’s feast. I’ve collected some of my favorite recipes using traditional Thanksgiving ingredients like sweet potato, pumpkin, and cranberries for this post. From breakfast to soup to sides, this post has your Thanksgiving menu needs to support the star of the show….Turkey, or prime rib. Tomato, tomahto.
Salad
I’ll admit salad isn’t my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal, but, my Mother insists that we have something fresh and green in the spread. I really can’t argue with her. First, because she’s my Mother, and second because she’s not wrong. Having something bright and fresh to contrast with the feast full of heavy brown Thanksgiving staples is a welcome bite. I’ve linked two salad recipes perfect for your Thanksgiving table. I’ve also linked the Honey, I’m Hungry Pantry Ranch Dressing recipes, both the traditional and the lightened up version. Even those bagged salad mixes can be special with a homemade dressing. No shame in the semi-homemade game!
- Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad
- Arugula Salad with Simple Lemon Pepper Vinaigrette
- Pantry Ranch – original
- Pantry Ranch – light
Soups + Sides
For me, the sides are the star of the Thanksgiving day spread. I know I’m not alone! The soups and side dishes I’ve linked below keep to traditional Thanksgiving day flavors with a Honey, I’m Hungry spin! If you’ve been tasked to bring a side to your Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving celebration, look no further, Honey, I’m Hungry has you covered!

Thanksgiving Breakfast
Where’s the love for breakfast on Thanksgiving? Whether you’re up early cleaning or cooking in preparation for a day full of family, fellowship, food, and probably football, you deserve more than a bowl of cereal to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday. Or, maybe you need something nice to drop off at the neighbor’s place for keeping an eye on your home while you’re away to be with family. Whatever your Thanksgiving day brings, you need the proper fuel! Here’s a collection of breakfast recipes highlighting traditional Thanksgiving flavors.
- Pumpkin Crunch Muffins
- Cranberry Orange Sweet Rolls
- Buttermilk Brown Sugar Muffins
- Cranberry Orange Buttermilk Muffins
BONUS – for all of the muffin recipes, I did a whole post on how to turn your favorite muffin recipe into a loaf recipe! If it’s easier or more useful to make a loaf vs. 12 individual muffins give this post a read.
I hope this post helps you plan the perfect Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving menu! If a Honey, I’m Hungry recipe makes it onto your holiday table, please snap a photo and give us a tag!
