Healthier Chocolate Pudding Mix-in Ideas
When a dessert comes in at about 150 calories, you might have room to add in some delicious mix-ins to make this even more delicious! Here are some yummy mix-in ideas to keep the variety in your healthier eating habits. After all, variety is the spice of life!
- 1-2 tablespoons of a HIH NSA fruit compote. A cherry compote would be amazing!
- 1 serving fresh fruit. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or cherries are all delicious and nutritious.
- 1 serving toasted, shredded coconut
- 1/4 cup whipped topping folded in will give a lighter mousse-like consistency.
- 1 serving chopped, unsalted nuts
- 1 serving dark chocolate chips
But, I’m not a chocolate fan…
I’m a chocoholic, so this is tough for me. BUT, this could easily be made in a vanilla version! Omit the cocoa powder and add another 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until you reach your desired vanilla-ness. If you went with the vanilla version, folding in some fresh raspberries would be an absolute treat!
